RYAN CHRISTOPHER LEE Is a creative professional based out of New York City with a skill set in film directing, cinematography, still photography, motion graphics and design. He is primarily focused on documentary and commercial forms of media, though is very capable in the narrative and experimental fields as well.

Ryan graduated from Tacoma School of the Arts in 2014 with a focus in Audio Engineering and Songwriting and graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, with a BFA in Film & TV Production and minor in Art History in 2019. Before attending University, Ryan engaged in a three-month-long training program at the University of the Nations in Kona, Hawaii. Afterward, he embarked on a three-month-long service trip to Nepal, where he filmed promotional videos to raise support for a boys home located in Kathmandu. In his third year at NYU, he participated in a semester-long documentary filmmaking study abroad program in Havana, Cuba where he produced and directed two short documentary films alongside shooting for three others. He has since continued to travel for filmmaking to countries such as South Africa and Singapore.

Though no project is without purpose, Ryan pursues opportunities that bring about new experiences and insights beyond simple professionalism, finding the most fulfillment in documentary-style portraits either for commercial or entertainment, as well as music videos of various genres and styles. Additionally, he is driven by the importance to address issues of social injustice, particularly those stemming from poverty such as human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and unethical labor, and is constantly developing new ways to advocate against such matters. Apart from his working life, Ryan still pursues music as an independent artist and innovative means of storytelling, hoping to never lose sight of the importance of mindful and spiritual engagement with life and culture.
